Standing at the edge of Formby beach in the North of England’s National Trust Nature Reserve – Formby, I felt the cold winter wind go through me, but the site was so beautiful and I couldn’t leave without capturing the moment.

When I returned to the studio I couldn’t stop thinking about this place. I started to explore eco-dying and the colours I witnessed. I looked at embroidery threads, beads and local leaves that could develop these colours. I’m still exploring these, but you can purchase some of my first experiments below.
